R4 Transition Announcement
Star Atlas is taking the first step toward a player-driven economy!
That first step is to conclude the sale of R4 from the Star Atlas DAO. We are also taking a few measures to bolster other R4 productive parts of the economy that help accommodate a smooth transition.
The Star Atlas DAO has been selling an infinite supply of Food, Fuel, Ammunition, and Toolkits (Also known as R4) since the release of Faction Fleet. That infinite supply is being reduced to a one-time 30-day supply to transition to the players owning the R4 economy.
1️⃣ Measure 1 - Claim Stake R4 Emission Increase:
With Claim Stakes, players will now receive massively amplified R4 production by enlisting them in Faction Claims!

3️⃣ Measure 3 - SAGE: Escape Velocity R4 Emission Increase:
By scanning in Escape Velocity, R4 resource amounts will get a near-800% increase so that players can replenish their in-game resources!

Claim Stakes are the first asset to receive DIRECT economic utility in our ecosystem! Through this transitional period, they’ll maintain the R4 resource generation functionality and will have their intended purpose evolve together with the game.
