Crew Cards - Addressing Feedback and Making Changes for the Health of the Game
Hey everyone! Firstly, thank you for all the support you've shown for Crew Packs. We appreciate every comment, and it’s amazing to see you all having fun. We've been listening to your feedback, taking notes from our team, and heavily considering the overall health of the game. As a result, we’re making some important changes to Crew Packs and your Crew Cards. Let's get into it! 👇
New Traits 🥻
Some of you shared your passionate feedback on the MUD species, so we're adjusting accordingly and also adding some new outfits to other species! • New MUD hairstyles have been added.
• MUD now have increased chances to roll an augment or trinket trait.
• MUD have decreased chances to roll a helmet trait.
• New outfits have been added to MUD, Mierese, Punaabs and Sogmians that offer a wider variety of patterns and colors.
New Algorithm and New "Episode" 1️⃣
The rate at which higher-tier traits were rolled on lower-tier rarities and lower-tier traits were rolled on higher-tier rarities was way out of our comfort zone. Simply put, it made all the card rarities look the same. You noticed it, and we did too. We’re not exaggerating when we say that years of work from one of the best character art teams in gaming went into creating a cohesive visual language. Our goal was to ensure that each card's rarity is immediately recognizable, with distinct silhouettes, color grading, and storytelling elements to enhance immersion. Since we didn’t hit that mark, we’re making adjustments. We’re rolling out a new algorithm for Crew Pack openings that will significantly reduce the chances of cards rolling "out of rarity" traits. In other words, Commons will look truly Common, and Legendary crew will genuinely look Legendary. Along with this algorithm change, we're also moving from "Episode 0" cards to "Episode 1".
• Art on previously opened cards will reroll using our new algorithm at the time of this announcement to Episode 1 art. Your old art will still be viewable as Episode 0 art.
• Episode 1 cards will keep Rarity, Species, Sex, Aptitudes and Name. Only the art and traits are adjusting.
• Anomaly art will be retained, you should see very little difference between your Episode 0 and Episode 1 art.
• Episode 0 won't be UE5 compatible. The latest episode art will be used at the time of adding UE5 support.
• Added a drop down menu to "My Crew Cards" that lets you select alternate art.
• Anna Tolle, Sammy Banx and the Surge Crew will remain unchanged.
• In the episode 0 algorithm, aptitudes had an even chance to roll. We're changing this and now certain aptitudes will be more rare than others. The good news is that we're not changing your already rolled aptitudes for Episode 1. If you rolled a rare aptitude you get to keep it. Consider it an early bonus of opening packs!

Known Bugs to be Fixed: <a:stickbug:743856258473263134>
1. The amount of Crew Cards listed on the "My Cred Cards" tab may not match the amount in your wallet. This will be fixed tomorrow.
2. You may see black boxes instead of the new art, this should fix over time leading up until tomorrow.
3. The drop down menu to view previous episodes isn't implemented yet.
Now that these changes are live, we're live on Tensor! However, the artwork might take a bit to update on their site. To ensure everything is fully updated, we recommend holding off on trading until tomorrow. We'll share the link and announce when it's ready.
