We have a big mid-month announcement for our GFC-Family!
GCOIN BURN!
As you might remember, we had a substantial amount of GCOIN from the Gen1-Community accrual which was not claimed.
Quick reminder:
The total token supply of GCOIN is 150,000,000.
40% of the total token supply was accrued by Gen1 NFTs over time, totalling to 60,000,000.
To everyones surprise, a large part of that was not claimed by the NFT holders. To be more specific, roughly 29,100,000 GCOIN was not claimed.
We have decided to burn all of the unclaimed GCOIN, reducing the total token supply of GCOIN by another 29.1M.
Additionally, we have roughly 450k GCOIN currently sitting in the token contracts (GCOIN paid by the community for training, forging etc.).
This coming Tuesday, March 18th 2025, we will burn both pools (totalling to another 29.5M GCOIN removed from total supply).
We are dedicated to continue building out our ecosystem and find use cases to reduce GCOIN supply and bring more utility to our community.
